I just got really upset while researching a beast of a paper because I thought I found one essay committing blatant plagiarism of another I'd read earlier in the evening.

I was in the middle of composing an e-mail to my professor, concerned for the academic integrity of his field when I discovered that the reason both pieces sound so similar is that they're written by the same author.
